Technical Consultant
Job Description:
We are seeking a Technical Consultant to handle the implementation of our software solutions in the area of transactional document processing. Suitable candidates will have experience of implementing and configuring software applications, as well as writing bespoke components to meet specific client requirements. They will also be excellent communicators who are used to spending time with clients. They will have the ability to match functional requirements with a technical solution and drive these solutions to completion.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a high degree of tenacity in technical problem solving within a client environment on a day to day basis. They will have the flexibility to travel in the UK and overseas if necessary. Ideally they will have completed a Computer Science/Maths/IT/Engineering Degree, with 1+ year’s technical consultancy experience in a systems integration sector.
Technical Skills required:
RDBMS (SQL Server and/or Oracle), MS XP and 2003 Server OS, MS IIS Server, coding in Visual Basic, XML and a basic understanding of the .NET concept. Experience of imaging (scanning) and Data Capture (OCR) technology would be a bonus.
